We’ll NEVER Forget You 9/11

I can’t believe it’s been 11 years already. I’m still so emotional over 9/11. I will never forget where I was that day. I was in 10th grade English (giving my age there). Our of us cried together, and we were so silent. The whole school was watching this unfold on the television. Our principle kept making announcements over the intercom. How could this be happening? I kept thinking. One teacher later that day, said we just witnessed something that we be in our history books for the rest of our lives. Two days later I lost my mother to cervical cancer. I was so overwhelmed with 9/11 and losing my mom 2 days later. I had the whole world mourning with me, while I was mourning over my mother. I cried more than I’ve ever cried before. Since then I haven’t cried that much. Now this is what I truly wanted to say on this day…

Someone had made a comment as to what we said the day this awful tragedy happened. They said, “Americans united as one” we all shed our tears together, we all wanted revenge, but most of all we held each other, and all of us mourned together. We agreed to stay united after that awful day, but instead we have separated from our neighboring American brothers and sisters. We’ve been split up, and we’ve been fighting each other. This is what I have to say today. Can we unite together as one on this day to remember all these beautiful people that lost their lives. Can we stop all the nonsense bickering, drama, arguing, bullying, etc. to come together for the 9/11 victims. I think this is the least we can do. Most of all let’s not forget all the courageous people that lost their life that day.  Let’s also remember all the men, and women who stood up for our country, and decided to go get the ones responsible for this cowardless act.

Today we salute you!

You’ll always be in our hearts, never forgotten!
