If your looking for a cool, but yet cute gift idea for Christmas, then I have just the right one for you! I was sent a, “Send A Ball” to review. You may ask what’s a, “Send A Ball”? It’s the neatest idea I’ve seen, that gets delievered through postal service mail! It’s an inflatable ball, where you can put any personal message, or buy the ones that already have messages wrote on them. The person you send the ball to, will hear a knock on the door, to find the mailman holding a ball. Reaching to put the ball into their hands! How cool is that? The expression on their face, or the laughter they have will be priceless! This will be something they will remember years down the road.

My little rugrat princess was really excited, when she seen her daddy holding the ball, after checking the mailbox! It was so exciting, getting a present like that.. Especially, being a ball with a message wrote on it, with our address on the other side! My rugrat, absolutely loves any kind of ball you can think of! She has a collection of them! This is why it was so cool for her to receive this one. My hubby thought it was a really awesome idea, and couldn’t get over the fact, that the ball was delievered like that!

About Send-A-Ball

Sendaball Inc., is a family business headquartered in Chicago. It is owned by a couple of BALLSY sisters who live across the street from each other in the same northwestside Chicago neighborhood they grew up in. They have been sending balls since the 90s, but one day in 2003, it seemed this CRAZY idea was meant to be a BUSINESS.

Michele had been sending silly things, through the mail over the years, that she was pretty familiar with how the mailing rules worked.

One day I was in Osco, saw a BIN of bouncy balls, grabbed one and thought “I can mail this”. Took a sharpie, addressed it to my BFF Sharon, wrote “Have BALL with your new baby”, went to the post office and mailed it. Sharon loved it so much, my sister and I sent them again and again to other friends. A few years later while standing in line at the post office, a guy behind me asked about the balls and asked if I could send one for him. Initially I instructed him in the steps to do it himself, but by the time we got to the front of the line, he had given me the info and $5. Laughing, I called my sister and told her how funny that just was. She said, ” MICH, I THINK WE ARE ONTO SOMETHING”. –Michele

Melisa explained, to her sister Michele that she had been to OPRAH the night before, and it was about women, who took a chance & started their own business with unique ideas. She told her sister to listen to her, and told her that all these have to be “signs” for them to start their own business!

Overall, I would recommend these balls for any occasion! Such a wonderful idea with Christmas right around the corner. The balls are a little pricey for myself being $16 each plus, shipping. It’s well worth it though, just to know you’ll make someone’s day, putting a smile upon their face by sending one! Children love balls so it’s a toy they can keep around the house for a while. They’ll be excited to receive the ball through the mail.
